The Bob Evans restaurant chain is offering a complete holiday meal package this month that will not only fill you up but help charities.

For every Farmhouse Feast sold through Nov. 27,Bob Evans will donate $2 to local charities, according to a news release.

“We believe in helping our neighbors in need and we know that’s important to our customers as well,” Randy Hicks, president and chief concept officer, said in the release. “This effort gives back locally to the soup kitchens, shelters and other agencies that support the needy in our restaurants’ communities.”

The program started as a grassroots effort by restaurant teams last year, when employees used funds donated by customers to buy local charities a Farmhouse Feast dinner. After hearing about these local efforts, the corporation wanted to help in a larger way.

Many restaurants will still be taking donations to purchase Farmhouse Feasts this year, along with the corporate match of $2 for every Farmhouse Feast sold, according to the release.

The Farmhouse Feast, which serves six to eight people, has slow-roasted whole boneless turkey breast or sliced boneless ham, bread and celery dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, buttered sweet corn, green beans with ham, cranberry relish, rolls, a loaf of pumpkin bread and a pumpkin pie with whipped topping. The package costs $74.99;additional servings of turkey or ham, bread, savory sides and desserts may be added a la carte.

Guests can order a feast at any Bob Evans Restaurant, online or via mobile phone and schedule their pick-up date. Quantities are limited; order early, according to the release Bob Evans Restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas day and close early on Christmas Eve.
